First Weekend

Just moved from Sagebrush Inn to dormitory on Thursday. It’s smaller compared to the Inn but I think I can deal with it for the next remaining year. Just a few pictures on the dormitory before I move on.

If you look close enough at my food stash, you will see this whiskey I bought. Labrot and Graham Brother’s Woodford Reserve Distiller’s Select. I don't think anyone can remember but I did rant a couple years ago that I want this whiskey. Now I’ve got it! Too bad you can’t flip back to the old blog cause I set it to auto map to my new blog in 10 seconds. But I’ve got the entry.

I didn’t take the other side where there’s the fridge, microwave and stuff like that. There’s 2 closets too.
My fridge is full of fruits and stuff like that. The milk here’s so cheap! *I’m beginning to sound like an Auntie* 1 Gallon(3.78L) of milk is only USD$2.54. I’m going to replace my fluid intake from water to milk. The fruits here are sweet. Real sweet. I always thought strawberries are sour, until I bought them over here. And the size of the strawberries is huge.
Oh! And did I mention, I went Levis the other day. I bought 3 tee, a cap, a 527 jeans and a belt with the levis belt buckle for only USD$43. Less than S$65! What a steal!

But I realize I did overspent by quite a lot. I guess it’s scrimp and save from now on. What’s more? It’s only the first weekend. You can’t eat restaurant for every weekend. It’s very expensive I tell you.

My first weekend’s enjoyable. With great company and great (literally) country, I did enjoy myself. I’ll let the pictures do the talking with a little captions here and there.

Look like Microsoft default wallpaper?

We are at downtown Boise. Below I think is the Governor's Building where the Mayor work I guess?

Concentrate on the Limo. Not the wedding couple.

The spiral, in another light

Got the 冬季恋歌 feel or not?

Here’s the 全家福of the host that brought me around. Alvin Lau and family. I really have to thank them for their warm hospitality.

Aren't the kids gorgeous! They are so cute and adorable. And they are very nice kids.

In case you are wondering, where’s my picture? It’s with Sebastian. I think he gave a copy to Alvin. I probably get it from Alvin later when I drop by his house.

Sebastian went back to Singapore. I guess I’m on my own now. I must continue his streaks of great job that he had done.

P.S.: My FAVOURITE 1967 CHEVROLET IMPALA! From the Supernatural Series. Right in front of me!

So sexy! God I wish I can get them!

P.P.S.: I'm at Alvin's house now. Having a bowl of piping hot home made Laksa. It's nicely done up by his wife. It's really nice!

to and at

Greetings, from the land whose sun sets at 9pm and rise at 6am! I see cows everywhere, along with squirrels and rabbits.

The day started by taking a 4 hours flight to HK. It isn't that great with so much dryness in the air. The previous time I took a plane, my eyes itch like it's crazy. I got prepared by buying eye drops. Who is to know? My eyes didn't work up this time, my throat and nose did. It's like you are breathing in sand in the desert. Yes, it's THAT coarse.

The food served in the plane is not half as bad as I expected it to be! It actually tastes good!

My very first meal in air!

The flight from HK to San Francisco was so unbearable. It's 11 hours in the air and with that dryness in the air. You are physically exhausted but you can't sleep. It's really crazy!

When I reached Boise, Ma'am brought me over to the 1st anniversary of the Buccaneers. I was warmly received with about 150 odd Singaporeans. With american food. -.-

I shall spare you all the words and now. Take a look at my hotel room. Yes, a hotel. I'll be moving to the dormitory this thursday! Can't wait!

It's 8.29pm here and look at the next picture. Yes, it's still bright out there. Like it's 10am or something. Madness!

SouthPark was on for awhile before I hit the bed.

Eric, where he should be. In jail!

I'm going to sleep now. Having serious Jetlag. I'm trying so hard to stay awake on the first day of work! Goodness! I'll update Day 2 probably later..

Greetings

I'm having jet lag now. Will update very soon! Going to turn in soon. Good night!

mini story

This is a story about People named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it but Nobody realised that Everybody would not do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

significant thoughts

Never in my whole life, I have racked my brains so hard. Not even my N levels. Not even my O levels. It's really freaky when you are packing to go overseas like for a year. You will not want your concerns to become a liability over there.

The 'you think I thought, who confirm?' mentality does have much of a use cause when it hits your mind, just throw the god damn thing into the box. What's more, shipping is subsidised. You do not need to fret about payment for excessive baggage and shit like that. You just throw stuff into the box even though they may deem as useless. But hey, it might just come in handy 1 day! Procrastination certainly have no grounds in this kind of situation.

It's not the matter of 'Do I need it?' It's the matter of *knocks on the head* 'Just in case' scenario.
Think Russel Peters

While I was typing halfway, the people from Geomatra came to take my package already. Now I have no worries already! But as from now onwards, I have to start packing for my hand carry luggage. So there goes more of my brain cells!
